Schedules in conflict, Anti-climactic

Unable to attend the San Juan talk last wednesday due to a previous engagement (for LS AWards for the ARts!), I was glad to find out though that the talk was calling for the exact opposite of the abstract. That in fact, an expanded effort of engaging with literatures from and of the regions, in the different languages of the country, was really the only way to be any closer to having a "national literature".

Apparently all this uproar may have just been caused by the innocent error of a mis-reading, or a mis-writing of an abstract, or an embarrassing mis-understanding.

I breathe a sigh of relief. And everything again is at peace (at least in the tentative hour of this piece).

I do plan to get more details about the talk though.
